As a retired Navy man, I thank Congressman Rick Larsen for all that he has done for us old warriors. He should be re-elected for three reasons:
He looks out for the interests of the little people, the little towns and the small business owners in his district. Big business is not a big player in his campaign. His voting record reflects the values and the aspirations of the people he serves.
Secondly, Rick’s head is screwed on right. He thinks for himself and is not swayed by the polemics of either party. Witness his vote against invading Iraq.
Third, he knows how to work the bureaucracy back in D.C. He really helped us in Skagit County by requiring the USGS to review some questionable flood data on the Skagit River. Without Rick’s help, the people in Skagit County would be priced out of the market for effective flood control.
