It is the first month of a new year, and plenty of time to reverse bad driving habits. On a regular basis, drivers pay little or no attention to pedestrians in crosswalks. Women with strollers often must give way to vehicles.
Something is wrong with this picture. Is the driver preoccupied with the radio, his or her cell phone, or is it just plain bad manners? I consistently see this at Alderwood mall; and I have talked to security as well as to the manager of Nordstrom, who at one time even put up an additional sign. Are traffic fines the only answer to this dangerous practice?
