Judicial activism has spun out of control and is now destroying our culture and civilization by approving same-sex marriage, domestic partnerships, pornography, abortion, and so-called free speech by allowing our airways and media to be polluted with almost completely unrestrained sex, brutal violence and filthy and profane language.
If that’s not enough, a court has struck down from our precious Pledge of Allegiance the phrase: One nation under God. The Alabama Supreme Court has now banished the display of the Ten Commandments on memorials from all public places. Next they will probably want to remove “In God we trust” from our currency and public buildings. I ask, what next, before we make all the morals we have lived by go down the drain?
If America wants to continue to enjoy its freedoms under the law, we must stand up now and protect the liberty we have been blessed by “under God” for so many years. Our nation was founded on the basis of trusting in God and the Bible is its source. Our founding fathers well understood this and it is plainly seen by their many references to God in their speeches and writings. We must do the same and preserve these freedoms and our own memorial here in Everett before it is too late.
I won’t be around much longer, as I am 82, but those who are younger had better sit up and take notice. Your freedoms are being assaulted as never before. Our liberal friends would like us to believe that all mention of God should be kept in the closet and never mentioned outside of the home. If they could have muzzled Thomas Jefferson, there would have been no Declaration of Independence. Think about that!
