The state plans to spend $47 million on a four-lane bridge on Highway 529. Why? Because people might wait 20 minutes a few times each month? We should use the money to build a bridge from I-5 northbound to the U.S. 2 trestle before 41st Street.
The millions spent on improving I-5 through Everett helped southbound, but northbound is worse and the gridlock starts at 41st Street because there are too many vehicles going onto U.S. 2. People who don’t have to crawl through this area on a daily basis don’t understand what it is like.
Let’s donate to put this overpass in effect. Highway 529 is an icon and a rather easy route.
