I don’t agree with the outdated tradition of the Christmas tree. It is very pointless to bring a tree into your house and decorate it after one chops it out of the forest long before it reaches its prime. Sure, it might look pretty after the decoration process, but think about the trees that don’t even get to live that long. After all, the tree will only end up in your back yard decomposing.
So why not just spend about $100 and get yourself a nice, longer-lasting artificial tree to satisfy yourself and save a few real trees while your at it. And keep them in the forest where they belong.
