What happened this year in the state Legislature? The ruling party has gone off the rails.
First they quickly pass a bill to exempt themselves from public disclosure requirements. What are they hiding? Then they modify a legally presented Initiative in violation of the state Constitution and the senator from Edmonds publicly states she is OK with this illegal action, and the governor signs it! Then the majority see’s fit again to violate state law that requires excess revenue be placed in the “rainy day fund” by attempting to divert this money to pay for property tax relief.
In the end they probably had the votes to pass this tax relief if they had done it legally.
It is time to make major changes in Olympia.
