Let the experts take over plants

So … Congress should give $50 billion to Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Subaru, have them lower the prices of their cars so everybody can have one, take over the Ford, GM and Chrysler plants and hire all the current employees to build Japanese cars. That way we’ll finally have all safe, competent cars on the highways (read the consumer literature, people!) and a bunch of folks steadily employed in more lucrative, well-managed businesses. Get over it. Move on!
