The Buzz notes the passing of actor Robert Prosky, who among many roles on TV and in movies, played Sgt. Stan Jablonski from 1984-87 on NBC’s “Hill Street Blues.” For those unfamiliar with it, “Hill Street Blues” was a cop show like “CSI: Miami,” but with fewer musical montages and better dialogue.
How about a couple of Cubbies tickets? Gov. Rod Blagojevich, D-eBay, is accused of attempting to sell Barack Obama’s vacant U.S. Senate seat to the highest bidder. The Illinois governor was caught in a wiretap, boasting, “I’m just not giving it up for (expletive) nothing.” So the answer to “How long before a Democrat blows the goodwill of the electorate following the election?” Five (expletive) weeks.
My house, my rules: A 23-year-old Arizona man complains to Dear Abby that when he moved back home his parents made him sign a contract that he would not drink or smoke and would get a job. Before Congress agrees to yet another financial bailout bill, we implore Abby to put the lawmakers in touch with these folks so they can negotiate the next deal.
