It is humbling for me to hear of the 14-year-old Pakistani girl, Malala, who cared so much for her right, and others, to go to school that she risked her life in the process! I thought to myself — I am a coward! As an octogenarian, I have taken for granted my right to an education, as my forbears in America did, but I have never risked my life as Malala did. Congress must support “Education for All Act” this October. Let us hope that all our representatives from Washington state will heed this plea.
