While John Koster was my representative in the 39th Legislative District, I took the time to write to him on a few occasions about issues that were a concern to me. Never once did I receive even an acknowledgement for a letter, e-mail, or fax. The people elected John to office but he could not be bothered to respond with a simple form letter thanking me for my input. I guess he was too busy to take the time away from his special interests to be bothered with the constituents who elected him in the first place.
Twice John sponsored legislation to break off the northern part of Snohomish County into Freedom County. The backers of Freedom County supposedly had an election on a bus on their way to Olympia while John was still in office. What happened to a vote of the people in the actual area to elect officials? Maybe all elections could be held on a bus to a Seahawk game. Think about the cost savings the county could gain by not having to actually hold an election.
