Let’s save those six letters in front

Some would say using Xmas eliminates six letters, C-h-r-i-s-t, to save space. Others think it is a way of eliminating Christ from Christmas as we see the American Civil Liberties Union attempting to eliminate numerous other signs of Christianity from the United States. So, is it to save space or to remove Christ from Christmas? Have you ever seen the use of the term Xgiving, to save six letters, T-h-a-n-k-s? Have a Merry Christmas.
