For those who voted for Initiative 1366, before you get too excited about your victory at the polls, here are the facts about the election results. There were 3,975,071 registered voters as of October 2015. Of those, 1,471,204 votes were cast on the initiative; 757,714 for, and 713,450 against. That means that of the potential 4 million eligible, only 19.01 percent statewide said they want the benefits of the initiative. Not a great win, in my opinion! Let’s see what the courts say about this one. (Data from office of the Washington Secretary of State, election division.)
