The election is over. No more robo-calls and attack ads. That’s the good news. Many say the results are a mandate for the winning party. Well, let it be as they say. Let’s raise the taxes on the rich, let the “Bush-era” tax cuts expire and focus on bringing new revenue into the great government we just elected. Slash the military and curtail spending on security. Our president has said that Al Queda is on the ropes anyway.
It’s time conservative voices sit on your hands and hold your tongues. Your warnings and alerts have been laughed at, criticized and berated. Its time for chickens to come home to roost. Nancy Pelosi just said we need to drive over the fiscal cliff first, then we can fix it. I say, bring it on. Starting with California.
I, for one, will be watching how this experiment carries itself out. Nobody is going to convince our elected officials to be responsible or make hard decisions. The media is no longer a watchdog for politicians, they choose favorites and control elections. Like the people in Noah’s day, we are destined to see the results of our actions. Soon it will start to rain and rain hard it will. Yet even then there will be those who will continue down the reckless spending path. I for one am tired of warning people and bearing the admonition. My ark is solid and ready to go. Is yours?
