In the Oct. 2 Herald, John Rosemond’s column hit the nail right on the head. With subversive TV programs making father’s “wrong” and children “right,” and with cartoons and TV commercials depicting fathers something less than “too bright,” how can we expect children to respect parents or any adults?
Fortunately, some parents are continuing family-rearing traditions, and therefore many of our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are getting loving and disciplined parenting, and hopefully our society will survive this “adults don’t know anything” attitude that is trying to sweep the nation.
