Letter critical of Schwab column guilty of its own charges

Full disclosure: I love Sid Schwab’s column. I have never read an “untruth” in it.

Yet letter writer Richard Shell writes that Schwab is “despicable, deceitful, bigoted, hateful, and arrogant.” Whew.

Then he goes on to be all those things in his letter. I find it incredible that anyone who supports President Trump can accuse anyone else of spewing “hatred, discord, disunity and untruths.” He just described the president to a “T.” Pun intended.

I’m a 71-year-old Vietnam veteran, and I cry for my country when I read such fustian.
