I am saddened and truly sickened by the current events that now seem to be a normal weekly occurrence in our world. The very fabric of society has frayed, and I am afraid that it may be in real jeopardy of unraveling if we continue down our path of division.
Our United States of America hardly seems very united lately, from top to bottom. A fight between us and them, red or blue, or you vs me. With the violence, bombings, terror, and plain ol’ hatred that seems to be dominating the headlines on all fronts lately, I fear to wonder of what kind of society and world we are leaving to our sons or daughters, our nieces or nephews, unless we honestly change our path.
In one of President Nixon’s Watergate resignation speeches he said, “Always remember, others may hate you, but those who hate you don’t win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself.”
Peace, Love and Happiness.
