I keep hearing that Al Gore sued over the election in Florida. Wrong! The Florida Supreme Court found that there was cause to question the first recount. They began a second recount under their supervision. Early counts showed a very good chance that Gore would prevail. Bush, not Gore, went to the U.S. Supreme Court in an effort to stop the second recount. The court voted 5-4 in Bush’s favor, making him president. If you think that was right, read the minority opinion. Gore promptly conceded and called Bush his president. Trump should do the same when the votes are counted.
