On Secretary of State John Kerry’s clarification on the Syrian ceasefire: “Now he is allowed … to target Nusra. But that will be on strikes that are agreed upon with Russia and the United States in order to go after them.”
This is a bad move, even anti-Trump Democrats like myself know!
The U.S. should not sanction or team up with Assad against any enemy even ISIS. We do not need or want Assad’s help with anything, even destroying ISIS.
Kerry’s mission should have been to get Assad to stand down on killing human beings.
The ceasefire is one thing, but to say: “Now he is allowed … to target Nusra. But that will be on strikes that are agreed upon with Russia and the United States in order to go after them.”
That deal makes us an partner in battle with Assad. All of this under the guise of being a peacemaker?
