I have never written a letter to the editor before in all my 67 years. I am compelled to write today about the sorry state of our election process for president of the United States.
Both major parties have failed us. Hilary Clinton is a serial liar. Donald Trump is an egomaniac idiot. I cannot vote for either.
As an independent, I can only hope that a third party candidate can be elected as a caretaker president who will do no harm for the next four years while We the People elect members of Congress who will represent all of our citizens and our common need for security and prosperity.
