Letter of thanks: For special education teachers, staff

As an elementary music and PE teacher for Lake Stevens School District, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work for the first time with my school’s Primary Structured Learning Class for students with autism. It has been an eye opening experience.

I have been so impressed with the wealth of knowledge, skill and incredibly hard work demonstrated by those special education teachers and paraeducators. Kudos to teachers Kim Grennan, Amanda Iffrig, Karin Reed and Megan Britton along with paraeducators Erica Thier, Jennifer Zimmerman, Bethany Walker, Korttany Finn and all support staff. I am particularly thankful this season for the talented education professionals that teach and work with our most vulnerable students.

To all special education teachers and support staff throughout Snohomish County, thank you for your work and passion and have a happy and restful Thanksgiving.
