This letter is in response to Mr. Jim Curley’s letter to the editor of Sept. 9 (“21st District race: Tactics similar to Florida election”).
Regretfully, Mr. Curley has his facts wrong. I am not a lobbyist. I am quietly (and successfully) rebuilding a life for myself and my son. During the last few days of the November 2001 election, two very pressing and serious issues arose that made it impossible for me to spend the traditional 105 days in the session and we all know that this year legislators spent far more than 105 days in Olympia.
I deeply regret that I am not still representing the citizens of the 21st District in the Washington state House of representatives, I thoroughly enjoyed my work in the Legislature and if circumstances were different, I would still be there.
