Regarding Sunday’s letter, “Governor has no role in raising rate”:
The letter writer is missing the point. Yes, it is the county assessor that raises our property taxes, however, it is due to the tax-and-spend approach of the liberal Democratic Legislature. Where else are they going to get the money? Simple: raise the property tax, sales tax, gas tax, cigarette tax, alcohol tax, extended warranty tax and anything the liberal Democratic Legislature wants to tax. As for being voter approved, I know I didn’t approve an increase in taxes, yet I still pay.
To say the governor is not responsible is misleading. Who is going to pay for the new health insurance plan to cover all kids whose family income is $62,000 or less? We are, with all the taxes forced upon us – including property tax. When did it become my responsibly to pay for their health insurance?
Yes, the governor and the liberal Democratic Legislature are responsible for forcing homeowners out of this state.
Think about it. Tax and spend, tax and spend. See a pattern yet?
