Levy will help keep quality of life

I am writing in support of the city of Arlington’s Proposition 1 levy which will come before our voters on April 22.

Currently Arlington citizens pay the lowest property taxes of any city in Snohomish County. The city government has managed to keep the budget balanced while maintaining the quality of life we have always enjoyed. Unfortunately, the cost of maintaining the services we value has now outpaced the city’s income. The time has come to ask our citizens to support Proposition 1 which will help to maintain essential city programs. Even with this addition, we will still have one of the lowest property taxes in the county.

Arlington has always been a wonderful place to live and raise a family, and I am proud to call it my home. Let’s keep it this way. Vote yes on April 22 for Proposition 1.
