The public library is a long-time American institution where we can go for educational information, reading enjoyment and the use of computers. But beyond all these things, the library offers a special kind of magic and sanctuary, which is available to all, including our youth and elderly.
Now our libraries need a helping hand. They are experiencing a significant budget shortfall of $800,000 – hence the levy asking for 50 cents per $1,000 assessed property value.
I am more than willing to participate in this effort to maintain our library services, which so enrich our lives, and urge my fellow citizens to take the same stand. Please vote yes for libraries.
