The week before the Super Bowl was a sea of blue and green. Seahawks supporters wearing team colors, banners on flagpoles, decals on their cars, etc. The Thursday before the Super Bowl changed my thinking of who stands out as the biggest fan. I was driving out on a rural road in Granite Falls after work. Something caught my eye ahead. Standing by a fence in a field on the side of the road was a little girl. I am sure her parents were close by for her safety. She looked to be about 5 years old and had on a little pink coat and rubber boots. She was holding a handmade cardboard sign. As I got closer she held it up high. The sign said “Honk for Seahawks.” I was so touched by seeing her out there bearing the cold to support her team I started to cry. She didn’t need an expensive jersey or a store-bought flag. I feel honored to see the biggest/littlest fan the Seahawks could ever have.
