Local businesses step up to make life better

I am the Homeless Student Liaison for the Marysville School District. I would like to thank the Windermere Foundation and RaVon Portraits for their generous donations for homeless students and families in our district. Windermere Foundation donated $1,000 to use for such things as food for parenting classes, car seats for teenage mothers and graduation announcements for seniors.

They are also making the holidays a little brighter for several homeless families. RaVon Portraits donated a portrait package for a homeless senior who will be graduating from high school this year.

Our school district is currently serving 72 homeless students on very limited funding, and we very much appreciate the help of businesses like these.
