The Herald recently had an article about the residents of Vancouver meeting with the police and fire chiefs about the lack of enforcement of laws on fireworks. This also applies to the City of Everett; citizens need to call officials on the sorry state of enforcement. This Fourth of July was the worst since I moved here and nobody seems to care. According to this article, the Vancouver citizens are “hopping mad.” I say, good for them. Everett needs to take a lesson from the city to the south and demand zero tolerance. Somebody’s home and life may depend on our officials doing their jobs!
