Lock box would save the program

Social Security and Medicare don’t have a financial problem. The money that is coming in is sufficient to take care of them. We don’t need any more I.O.U. deposits in the funds. If President Bush and the politicians would keep their fingers out of the fund box, and put a lock on it, things would take care of themselves.

Bush has maxed out all of his credit cards and is looking for more help. By privatizing the Social Security system, he and Wall Street can well take care of themselves and their wealthy business partners.

In Chile, they have used Social Security privatization since 1981. This made a handful of people very wealthy. The masses suffered the consequences of this ill-gotten program. It was a failure.

Jose Pinera was the architect of this privatized program in Chile. He is working with Bush and other people to promote this program here. Hopefully the American people won’t let this happen.

Judging by recent polls, it looks like some of the American people are coming out of their deep sleep and figuring out that Bush is trying to do a number on them.
