I am writing to support Snohomish County’s proposed Community Infrastructure Development Initiative (CIDI). It’s just the kind of program we need in our county to prepare and plan for the future. The money earmarked for park improvements will ensure Snohomish County continues to be a great place for families to recreate now and in the future.
Further, we can all agree that our traffic congestion has gotten exponentially worse in recent years. Money in the program will improve roads like 20th Street SE in Lake Stevens, along with sidewalks across the county. This will improve our quality of life and make it easier for people to commute.
The CIDI is a logical proposal that is overdue. I encourage the County Council to approve the proposal and help us improve the future of Snohomish County.
