Regarding the article, “Everett holding contest to design its new logo”: What kind of twisted thinking is this? “The current logo is outdated”? The current logo has timeless design representing the water and mountains that grace our vistas. Has it really been thought through how costly this seemingly, feel-good action will cost?
How many vehicles, uniforms, city signs, brochures and other printed materials will need to be changed? As well as all of the official stationery, seals and rubber stamps.
Aren’t we weathering a substantial budget crisis? If the city has money to burn and award and spend for frivolous logo changes, I would prefer they use that money for police, fire, neighborhood safety, education, homelessness or reinstate the library services.
