I am writing in regard to an article in the Economy section story concerning the Salvation Army losing its thrift store location in Lynnwood (Nov. 16). I was the store supervisor for the Salvation Army and responsible for putting that store in. The original lease had rental extensions written into it.
The store manager at the time told the present administrator that they had to use the option before June of 2000, or lose the store. The owners eventually made other plans for the store. This store was one of the highest volume stores, if not the highest, they had and to let it go is a shame.
To hear them sounding like they hate to lose the location is just unbearable for me.
