We should take very seriously the demise of the beautiful fruit trees on the Unocal/76 station property on 4th at I-5 in Marysville. The wanton destruction of natural beauty for the personal greed of businesses (we need another espresso stand?) is a major loss to us all. Surely the Earth suffers with such horrible deeds!
The drive through the I-5 greenbelt, just north of exit 199, was an incredible natural wonder not so long ago, with stately trees lining both sides of the freeway. It’s the environment, stupid!
