I would like to propose donating the Weyerhaeuser building to the Everett School District under the conditions that it always be operated as a museum organized and operated by Everett students and open to the public. What better way for our young people to experience living history and develop a deep sense of connection to the roots of our city? Imagine the hands-on learning as youth work together to create exhibits and projects for public display.
As for curators – how about the dynamic duo of Jack and Larry O’Donnell, local historians and teachers who have dedicated their careers to serving the youth of our community? We can do this!
