Regarding the Tuesday letter, “Longtime patients kicked to the curb“: My husband and I are very happy with the health insurance choices we’ve made since our move to the Eve
rett Clinic. We are not wealthy and live on a restricted income. We have never felt neglected in any way, always receiving excellent care in all areas of our needs, including the insurance companies. My displeasure is in the lack of adequate compensation to our wonderful medical providers.
I am very surprised by the lack of information expressed by the writer. Become informed by attending one of the many seminars about the available options for Medicare Advantage and why the Everett Clinic arrived at this decision. You will find policies with zero monthly premiums, as well as a varied range of more expensive options. Find the solutions that meet your needs. Most important, be your own advocate or find a trusted person to help you in this role. Ignorance is not bliss.
