Thank goodness for the KING-5 TV Investigators program. Without their recent efforts, the ferry system would be free and clear to continue its outrageous perks and work schedules.
Now it’s the food stamp debit cards that are out of control. It’s doubtful either Visa or Master Card have 28,000 lost cards a year. It’s not out of line to think someone in Olympia might question this, but apparently they are used to give-away programs.
Not too many years ago, the attorney general’s office missed an important date and it cost the taxpayers some $20 million. So maybe things like this make it more difficult to close the $5 billion budget deficit.
