We would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, especially to Anne, Cheryl, and Penny, for all of their care and compassion extended to Jim deMercado and his family over the past six months. Jim recently lost his battle with cancer, and throughout the past six months, Hospice was there to support him and his family and to help relieve his pain. We simply could not have managed without their assistance. Hospice provides a much-needed service to the community and the nurses and other Hospice workers are dedicated and compassionate.
Thanks are also extended to the wonderful nursing staff of the Providence hospital (Colby campus) 7A who cared for Jim during his last days. They performed a very difficult job with love and compassion. All of these people are the unsung heroes of our community and are deserving of recognition for the valuable services that they provide. Words cannot adequately express our appreciation to all of those who provided the emotional and physical support for Jim and his family.
