Jordan Davis, Mariner Homecoming King, showed the best in teenagers’ spirits when he passed his cape and crown to special needs classmate, Koby Inthavong (“A homecoming king abdicates to a gentle, cheerful classmate,” The Herald, Oct. 13). Jordan’s comments about Koby deserving it more as someone who “inspires me to be better to others” and “he improves my character” touched my heart.
In a time when we hear about too many teens making poor choices, it is important to remember that more teens show remarkable behavior. Thank you to The Herald for this and other stories highlighting kids doing great things. The impressive choices made by Jordan give us hope for our future!
