Last year the Seattle Mariners had their best season in 15 years winning 89 games and just missing the playoffs.
Management almost completely dismantled the team. It was great to get rid of Mike Zunino, a player who stuck out most of the time and had a hard time hitting .200. But this year’s new Mariners have stuck out 106 more times than the average American League team and have struck out 208 more times than Houston.
Guess what? You gotta put the ball in play to make something positive happen. We also lead the league in errors with almost twice as many errors as the American League average. It’s time to dismantle management and get someone who wants to keep a winning team on the field.
