The front page article regarding Molly McKinney was so heartwarming! (“Marysville girl one of the country’s first to earn Eagle Scout,” The Herald, Nov.2) Being the first female in the county and country is most commendable.
What she has demonstrated being a part of the Boy Scouts of America, is that girls are capable of anything. Her positive attitude and perseverance is an example to everyone and especially young females. Becoming an Eagle Scout is a very long and tedious task to earn 45 merit badges, but she made it. Her lettering in soccer as a freshman and now her future plans will be her continuing a superb future. Well done, Molly! Best wishes for the future.
