The city of Marysville uses loopholes to prevent poverty border-line low-income seniors to get a discount on their sky high utility bills. The city counts money the seniors never received as income. These seniors can neither deduct the 25 percent of their total income they had to spend to pay their medical bills. Why does not Marysville use the same requirements as for discounts on property tax. Does Mayor Jon Nehring want to speed up the process to push low income people into homelessness?
In the meantime to love using loopholes to give tax cuts and tax breaks to big companies and investors, causing the town and especially Smokey Point to become overcrowded and full of traffic jams!
It is clear where Nehring’s and the City of Marysville’s priorities are!
But what else do you expect from a Republicans. They adore low-paying jobs and the holy dollar more than helping ordinary Americans and preserve a healthy planet!
