In a letter written by Carol Olsen-Whitney that appeared in the Herald on Aug. 9, 2020, it’s stated that “if you are wearing a mask and you trust that mask is doing it’s job, and you social distance then what is it to you if someone else chooses not to do the same.”
Well, I have been under the impression from what I have read on the subject that the masks protect the other person more than the person wearing it. So, if that’s the case, and if people choose not to wear a mask, then they could be spreading the Covid-19 virus to people wearing masks, and the people wearing masks would be protecting her and other people not wearing masks, leaving themselves vulnerable to contracting the virus.
Somehow that doesn’t sound like a fair trade, in my opinion.
