Maybe Democrats are to blame for woes

I found the Jan. 30 letter by Rep. Mike Cooper, a Democrat, rather amusing (“Republicans going against many groups”). It is clear that he is already trying to spin the transportation package in such a way as to lay the blame for any failure at the feet of his Republican colleagues.

Now let’s see, our governor is a Democrat. Our state Senate is controlled by the Democrats. And our state House is controlled by Democrats. And in the Legislature all of the major committee chairs are held by Democrats. So, regardless of how much “fuming” the few Republicans in Olympia may do, any failure of the Legislature this session is strictly the fault of, yep, you guessed it …Democrats!

Just a little something for voters to remember on Nov. 5.
