Living in Snohomish for the past 35 years and being a homeowner for 29 of those years, I have yet to write about an elected official.
In the time that Mayor Liz Loomis has been in office, I have seen the roads on 2nd Street and Avenue D repaved, sidewalks put in and lights installed to improve traffic and safety. The trail at the waterfront has never been as it is today and now a new visitors center is coming. Eyesores have been removed and places are going up faster than we’ve seen in years. Growth is happening without sacrificing the character and charm of our historic town.
For a mayor, she is easier to talk with. She doesn’t just listen and nod, she takes action. The town meetings are actually informative, enjoyable to attend and the communication with the town is at an all-time high. I just want to take this time to thank her personally and to tell the residents of Snohomish, speak out, go to your town council meetings. It’s a great time for our town and our mayor cares!
