Does Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin want Washington state to re-felonize psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin and MDMA?
That’s the implication of the recent Herald story (“Mayors: Enough is enough, we want something done for public safety,” The Herald, Oct. 5), although psychedelics naturally don’t get a mention here because most users soon learn to moderate their dosage and avoid public freak-outs.
Fortunately, Franklin and the others in this neo-prohibitionist crusade have no authority to change state law.
