McCain pandering, not talking straight

No insurance company would be willing to sell John McCain health or life insurance because the man is 72 and has had cancer. It’s not because he’s old, it’s because he’s a lousy health risk as he has a shorter life expectancy than most 65-year-olds!

Despite this, McCain just selected to be his vice president an inexperienced individual who obviously met just two criteria: She’s female (and therefore will hopefully attract some disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters), and she’s staunchly anti-abortion and pro-guns (and will hopefully energize McCain’s socially conservative supporters).

While I agree with her pro-life position, the fact is that she is Dan Quayle Lite. This blatant pandering demonstrates McCain putting his personal ambition ahead of what’s best for the U.S. What utter hypocrisy from the straight-talk express!
