This letter is to let everyone know how wonderful it can be to live in a small town where store owners care about their customers. About a week or so before Christmas my mom purchased four gift certificates for her family from McDaniels, a hardware store in Snohomish. The day before our Christmas celebration she called me to say she couldn’t find three of them. She had searched everywhere and now didn’t know what to do. She is on a fixed income and could not afford to go buy more certificates. It has also been a tough past year for Mom since spending last Christmas in the hospital. She has had to sell the house she and Dad had for 42 years and move to assisted living. It has been very hard on her.
I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to hear that McDaniels gave her three new gift certificates. Without any questions they helped mom out and we appreciated their generosity so much. They are always so friendly and helpful whenever we shop there. This only reinforces what a special community we live in amongst caring people. Thank you, McDaniels.
