House Speaker Frank Chopp is charitable when he characterizes Rob McKenna as not knowing what he’s talking about and that McKenna’s statements about the budget process are not based in fact. (April 3 article, “Rob McKenna leaps into fray over state budget.”)
Rob McKenna simply represents a faction of a party that harbors thousands of like-minded know-nothings. That he would garner any substantial support outside this group is surprising.
