Being a natural born American citizen I wish to express my opinion that I am emphatically against any military reduction. I am a widow, a housewife. My husband served in World War II. Since our terrorist attack, I believe this should not be a ground war but an intelligence war. In the past we have, through intelligence efforts, averted several other disasters. When these terrorists are found, if alive, we should take action accordingly! We have had several traitors in our own country. The terrorists also have lived with us for several years. It’s time to close our borders. Especially since we also had an incident with someone with terrorist intentions coming through our border from Canada and being apprehended in Port Angeles.
Just before the attacks I read Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld wanted to shut down several military bases. I wonder what his opinion is today. So, tell me how come our government can now come up with $40 billion or more to rebuild New York, the Pentagon and the military? Last week we were having to cut back on military bases, our civilians defense of our great liberty, but today we have all kinds of money?
