To anyone voting for John Kerry or anyone who is still undecided, two very recent polls should be reason enough to convince you to vote for President Bush.
A poll of French citizens said they preferred John Kerry over President Bush 72 percent to 16 percent. Also, a recent poll of more than 4,000 active duty and reserve United States military personal revealed they choose President Bush by a 4 to 1 margin. Seventy-three percent are voting for President Bush while only 18 percent are voting for John Kerry. So, 72 percent of the French want Kerry, while 73 percent of our fighting men and women want President Bush.
Enough said. When push comes to shove, John Kerry is a hero to the country of France, the same country that was trading arms and taking bribes from Saddam Hussein in the food-for-oil scandal. The men and women fighting and defending our country overwhelmingly support their current commander in chief, President George W. Bush.
I find it interesting that we try to teach our kids that doing the right thing is more important than being popular, yet all we hear from the left is that we are not liked around the world. When were we ever liked by the French?
The United States has never been popular, and with this global war on terrorism we cannot make our national defense decisions based on whether or not a bunch of Europeans are offended. We will win this war on terrorism because of the amazing men and women of the United States military. No one has given more and asked for less than the men and women of our armed services the least we can do is give them a commander and chief they respect and trust. Enough said.
