The Mukilteo Education Association, representing over 800 teachers of the Mukilteo School District, would like to assure the parents of the Mukilteo School District that we are continuing to do our usual great job in the classroom with your children. The resignation of our superintendent does not change the work we do every day, and we are proud to be the teachers of your children.
We feel we must go on record saying we do not approve of the large severance package demanded by Dr. Gary Toothaker. We do not know the complete circumstances around the sudden resignation. However, we feel that the money belongs with the children that Dr. Toothaker professed to love.
Mukilteo School District citizens have always been supportive of our district, and we hope they will continue to support us – the teachers and students of the district. We will get through this difficult time together.
